day & night hot water from nature’s free energy

“The Bunsen Air has made all our hot water since the day it was installed – my oil boiler now only does our central heating”.

Although a highly efficient renewable, hot water system, the Bunsen Air | Thermodynamic Water Heating is also a complete solution…

In the past Solar Thermal systems – evacuated tubes or flat plate solutions – have been installed to create solar hot water. But solar thermal systems such as these, will only work when the sun is out (which is not often in the U.K.), and clearly cannot work in dark hours. So therefore, their contribution to heating domestic hot water is conditional and irregular.

The Bunsen Air | Domestic Water Heater on the other hand, works in all weather, day or night and 365 days of the year. It is a complete hot water solution, and one which you can rely on entirely. The Bunsen Air will take over the heating of your domestic hot water. In most installations the customer will simply switch off the existing heat source, and just leave it in place as a secondary if ever needed.

UPGRADE

If you have an existing hot water cylinder you can upgrade to renewable by simply attaching a Bunsen Air | Thermodynamic Hot Water System.

If your cylinder is old, it is likely that it suffers from significant heat loss. This may be the ideal opportunity for you to upgrade to a modern cylinder.

If you have a vented system, and would like to upgrade to a pressurised system giving you ‘power-shower’ water pressure, then this could be the ideal time to do so.

If you have no hot water cylinder, then you could have a suitably sized cylinder installed along with your Bunsen Air, and benefit from mains pressure hot water throughout your home.

The Bunsen Air will upgrade your home’s water heating system by adding renewable hot water.

  • Retrofit to an existing hot water cylinder
  • Upgrade your cylinder and add a Bunsen Air
  • Install a new cylinder to create water heating

Hot water settings

The Bunsen Air | Green Hot Water Heater will automatically reheat your hot water. The typical target temperature is 53 degrees C, although this can be adjusted.

There are a number of mode options

Full Automatic

In full automatic you simply select your target temperature, and each time your cylinder drops by 5 degrees it will switch on, reheat the cylinder and then return to stand-by.

Energy Saving Setting

Simple to activate, you can have 3 different target temperatures for 3 different times of the day. You can heat the cylinder up to fully hot during the day when the weather is warmest and the system is most efficient, then have a lower target temperature during the evening, and another for during the night when you don’t need hot water.

Run Time Setting

This allows you to select 2 periods of the day when the system is on or off. So, if you did not want it to run from midnight to 6 am, you can select this. The Run Time Setting works alongside the other settings, so you can use them together.

In all setting modes there is a weekly anti-legionella cycle to protect your system. This is where the system will heat up to 60 degrees to disinfect. If you have the immersion wired to the Bunsen Air then this will be brought in along with the Bunsen to achieve 60 degrees.
